Week 12: Manosphere
March 22nd, 2026
- Absolutely stunning warm days this week. Spring is Springing. Dobby was out without a coat today!
- Thought I might ride into work on Thursday, as it had been so lovely and warm on Wednesday. As it was, I slept really deeply, so didn't get up early enough. But I was quite glad I didn't, because when I got to my car I had to scrape the ice off my windscreen. You forget how cold it gets in the mornings and evenings in early spring.
- Warm sunny days means drinks out in Soho after work. Although, I'm starting to enjoy it a bit less these days, as the number of people who go has got too big to have a good conversation any more. There's like 20 of us at least. 'Between the graces and the muses' is bang on. Smaller groups for me. Showed my face though, and then went and got the train home.
- Went for a nice drive after work on the Friday. Went out on the back roads west of Biggleswade and passed that nice country pub in Old Warden where we had that Sunday lunch that time.
- I watched the Louis Theroux documentary about the 'manosphere' that everyone was talking about. There wasn't much they were saying that I hadn't heard before, and they were all a bit tragic and week when you scratched the surface. I think what made me sad was the following they had. There really aren't any real male role-models any more.
- I bought a CD Player, and I absolutely love it! I'm loving going through all our old CD's and giving them a play. I can't wait to go down to the music store and spend some time going through all the secondhand CD's.
- I'm tempted to start another new hobby. I need an intervention.
